Christmas Donation to „Knack Den Krebs“

 

On Wednesday, Managing Director Christian Sommer presented the donation check to Natalie Von Borcke, Public Relations Officer of the Children's Cancer Center.

 

Every year, approximately 2000 children under the age of 18 are diagnosed with cancer, 140 of them in Hamburg and the surrounding area.

 

The donations allow the young patients to receive the best possible treatment, since childhood tumors are different from those of adults and thus require special treatment methods.

 

Using the slogan "Knack Den Krebs" (Crack Down On Cancer), the support association wants to draw attention to the issue of cancer in children.

 

ABOUT THE CHILDREN CANCER CENTER HAMBURG

The Fördergemeinschaft Kinderkrebs-Zentrum Hamburg e.V. was founded in 1975 by affected parents of children with cancer and supports the Clinic for Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), in short the Kinderkrebs-Zentrum Hamburg.
