Who is “Big Marty”? Martin’s Big Marty’s Rolls are named after Lloyd Martin, co-founder of Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc. Lloyd’s friends called him by the nickname “Marty,” and he liked his sandwiches “big,” so it just made sense to name this delicious white roll with a soft, golden crust and a crunchy sesame seed top after him!
