Bekarei started out in 2006 as a small local bakery for Portuguese and Greek pastry specialties in Berlin and has made it its mission to bring the southern European joie de vivre, the joy of indulgence to the city and spread it further.
In the meantime, the company has grown many times over and has established itself as a real expert in burger buns. In addition to standardized industrial processes, great importance is still attached to handcrafted production. This ensures the individual shape of the buns and is reflected in the exquisite taste.
The versatile Shokupan
Shokupan, often referred to as Japanese milk bread, is a special bread that is characterized by an exceptionally soft, fluffy and slightly sweet texture. Shokupan is not only used as a breakfast bread, but is also very popular as a base for a wide variety of sandwiches. Thanks to its soft crust and fine, even crumb, it is ideal for both sweet and savory toppings.
